• School programs are $1,500.00/day plus expenses*. Expenses apply for locations more than 80 miles from Downingtown, PA as follows:
  • Miles @ .55/mile
  • Applicable tolls
  • Hotel (Jane usually stays at Holiday Inn Express)
  • For destinations requiring travel by air:
    • Applicable airfare and taxes
    • Car rental
  • Please note that Jane often travels with an assistant. You will not be charged expenses for her assistant but if you make hotel reservations, please book a room with two beds.
• Our school rates cover an entire day at your school. We suggest you create a full schedule of activities and programs(see How should we schedule our day?). For your daily rate you will receive:
  1. A visit from Jane for an entire day
  2. Two assembly programs
  3. Colorful nature bookmarks for all of your students
  4. A poster of “nature in your schoolyard” plants and animals for every classroom
  5. A set of four Take A Walk books for your library
  6. A student discount for Take A Walk books (when ordered using our order form)
  7. A teacher discount for No Student Left Indoors (when ordered using our Teacher Order Form).

Now you can save big when you book your author visit during “off peak” school months. Here’s our new sliding scale for our school assembly programs and author visits:

Peak: Mar, Apr, Oct:
$1500/day + expenses

May, Jun, Sep:
$13500/day + expenses

All other months:
$1100/day + expenses

A “day” includes 2 assembly programs and classroom visits for the balance of the day. To add a third assembly program, an after school teacher workshop or an evening assembly for parents, add $500.00 to the day rate. See our program brochure.
