Can you see the mountains from your classroom? Do you have any photos you can send us?

Yes! They are incredible to observe all year long. The saddest, but most spectacular time with the local mountains was when the fires came through many years back. They caused our district to evacuate and burned for two weeks. After the fires, it was fascinating to see the life return, in stages, to the mountains. The green slowly came back and so did the wildlife. (I am sorry this took so long to send back to you. I have photos, but do not know how to send them to you via this comment box. (the "Grand Prix Fire": I watched it begin as I took students out to meet the school buses one day at 2:40!)
